What will I learn?
This Level 5, career-focused two year qualification enables those working or intending to work in the Further Education and Skills (FES) sector to gain a full teaching qualification by meeting the occupational standards developed and approved by employer representatives and other stakeholders across the FES sector.
This qualification covers all aspects of teaching in the Further Education and Skills (FES) sector and includes eight mandatory units: Teaching my subject, Teachers and teaching, Learners and learning, Professional practice, Effective digital and online pedagogies, Action research, Coaching and mentoring and Managing behaviour.
You will complete a number of written assignments across the 24 month qualification and will take part in a number of micro teaches and lesson observations to review your practice and provide opportunities for reflection.

Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), Advanced Teacher Status (ATS), teaching in post compulsory education, MA/M.Ed qualification.

Applicants must be 19+ on the start date of the course in order to apply/enrol on the course.
