What will I learn?

This course will be delivered via MS Teams

This small group workshop will give you the knowledge to present virtually and will include a chance to practice your skills.

The morning will cover the principles of presenting virtually and will include some short practical exercises to help you prepare a short presentation that you’ll deliver in the afternoon.

In the afternoon you will be asked to deliver your short presentation (5 minutes), and will be offered feedback.

You’ll be sent a short preparatory exercise, to help you get the most form the day.

You will learn:

  • Good practice principles for virtual presentations
  • How to structure a presentation, to keep participants engaged
  • Using visuals in virtual presenting
  • Strategies and tools for engaging your audience
  • How to prepare for virtual presenting, including managing your state as a presenter.
  • Troubleshooting – what to do if the tech goes wrong!
  • Troubleshooting – Q&A

This virtual course will be highly participative and interactive and there will be regular screen breaks.

You’ll be asked to switch your video and microphone on throughout the course.
