What will I learn?

This course will be delivered via MS Teams

This is a half day course where learners will and gain the basic knowledge of how to present. They will also get to practice some elements of presenting virtually

You will learn:

  • Good practice principles for virtual presentations
  • How to structure a presentation, to keep participants engaged
  • Using visuals in virtual presenting
  • Strategies and tools for engaging your audience
  • How to prepare for virtual presenting, including managing your state as a presenter.
  • Troubleshooting – what to do if the tech goes wrong!
  • Troubleshooting – Q&A

    This virtual course will be highly participative and interactive and there will be regular screen breaks.

    You’ll be asked to switch your video and microphone on throughout the course.

    It may be possible to include some bespoke content after discussion with the trainer

    Where will it lead me?

    A face to face course on Improving Your Presentation Skills is also available

    Entry Requirements

    The training is suitable for anyone who needs to make virtual business presentations, whether that be externally to clients, internally to colleagues, or at industry or networking events.

    The half day course will be suitable for people who are new to making virtual presentations, or have some experience but would like to fine-tune and improve their skills.

    Please Note

    Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started their course.
