What will I learn?

This course will introduce students to the different types of welding techniques used within the industry. Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and learn the basics of welding

The course covers:

  • MMA Welding (Manual Metal Arc)
  • MIG Welding (Metal Inert Gas)
  • TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas)
  • Gas Welding (Oxy-Acetylene)
  • Gas Cutting

    Where will it lead me?

    Delegates who complete this course may progress on to the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in MIG Welding held at Sparsholt College.

    Please need that learners may need to attend more than one introductory course before they are at the correct standard to join level 2 training.

    From beginners to the more experienced, this course is ideal for anyone looking to prepare for the City & Guilds level 2 welding course

    Please Note

    Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started their course.
