29 year old Gemma Stevens is an excellent example of a mature apprentice. Gemma’s original career background was in hospitality but she had always had her own horse and had the desire but lacked the qualifications to pursue a career in the Equine industry.
In October 2013, the ideal opportunity came up at Hunters Riding Lodge for Gemma to make a career move into the Equine sector. She decided that the best way for her to successfully train for this would be through the Apprenticeship route. She is currently working hard on the Level 2 programme.
Gemma is an exceptionally motivated and very hard working Apprentice and Hunters Riding Lodge have said that the support provided by the College to both themselves and Gemma will ensure she successfully completes the Equine framework. The ALO provides all the necessary pastoral care supporting Gemma to remain on-track.
