Nick Wills – Level 3 Game and Wildlife Management
I chose Sparsholt after visiting it and other similar colleges. I particularly liked the content of the course and the proportion of theory and practical work. It also gave me the opportunity to gain additional qualifications in different areas such as chainsaws, ATVs, snaring and deer stalking and I wanted to take part in work experience during my course.
I’ve enjoyed learning alongside other students with similar interests and the social aspects of living on campus. The lecturers are very knowledgeable and supportive and the trips to Scotland deer stalking and to Teasdale were great.
Since leaving Sparsholt I am a trainee gamekeeper on a royal estate. The College recommended me and I have been able to use my extra qualifications straight away, as well as the important aspects of predator control I covered at Sparsholt.
