CHOOSING THE RIGHT LEVEL

Foundation Studies Programme

These are specialist programmes designed for students aged 16-24 with special educational needs (SEN) who respond best within a smaller group and may require extra support or time to complete set work within a mainstream environment.

Could lead to: Level 1 course, employment, work-based training or internship

Level 1:

Certificate – 1 Year

Could lead to: Employment, Level 2 course or Apprenticeship

Level 2:

Work-Based Diploma – 1 Year

OR

Technical Certificate – 1 Year

Work-Based could lead to: Employment or Apprenticeship

Technical could lead to: Employment, T Level Course or Apprenticeship

Level 3:

T Level – 2 Years – Suitable for 16-19 School Leavers

OR

Advanced Technical Extended Diploma – 2 Years

Could lead to: University/higher education or employment including Apprenticeships
