Agriculture
I know lots of people who have studied at Sparsholt, so it was an easy decision to come here. I started on the Level 2 course, then moved on to Level 3 and can honestly say I’ve enjoyed it all! The social side is really good, meeting people with the same interests, and the group fieldwork has been great – muck spreading, using telehandlers and grass cutting, on the College site and further afield.
Sparsholt can help you get to where you want to be, so just go for it!
I’ve gained so many tickets here, from spraying to telehandling, which make you really employable. I know I’ll also use the skills from our farm management project, including working well in a team. The tutors have become friends, who will always help you, and the trips are all relevant – everyone found going to the LAMMA event really eye-opening to see all the latest machinery and technology. The Level 3 is a good preparation for being a farm manager – you get up-to-date knowledge, study real-life working scenarios, have time for work experience and feel one step ahead.
I’m planning on studying the new Agriculture Foundation Degree at Sparsholt next. I’ve already got a good relationship with some of the lecturers, and am really looking forward to it. Sparsholt can help you get to where you want to be, so just go for it!
