What will I learn?
This course covers the practical and theoretical aspects of sport and provides the opportunity to progress on to our different Level 3 courses, or directly on to employment, as well as enjoying all the industry standard facilities of our state-of-the-art Sports Centre. Whilst studying on this course you will learn the underpinning knowledge of anatomy and physiology, principles of fitness training and exercise programme writing. You will explore concepts involved in sports psychology and apply different sports performance skills and technique in team and individual sports.
In addition to the course we offer lots of extracurricular activities such as football, badminton, fitness training, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, community coaching projects and much more.

What grades will I need?
Four GCSEs at grade 3, Maths and English at grade 3, Level 1 Diploma or equivalent at grade Merit.
