We’re so excited to welcome our new and returning students to our countryside campus in the autumn term. Starting life at college is a big step, so we’ve collected all the information you’ll need to help you feel prepared for joining the Sparsholt College community in September. We hope you find this information useful, but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’re here to help!
GCSE Results will be released on Thursday 20 August. Check out all the options for your next steps!
The College will access the majority of GCSE results from the Department for Education by Friday 21 August and auto enrol all applicants who meet their course entry requirements, and notify you by email and confirm in writing between Friday 21 August to Friday 28 August.
If you have met the entry criteria of your chosen course, during enrolment week we will get you enrolled and send you an email and letter to confirm your enrolment. If we find your results are significantly better or not quite what you hoped for the course you have chosen, we will give you a call to discuss your options. Please do not worry, we will work with you to enable you to find the course that’s right for you. If you wish to discuss this further with our academic teams please contact them on the email address for departments under our Frequently Asked Questions section below.
Please can we ask that you have your phone close to hand during enrolment week to enable us to check in with you.
If you have already achieved your qualifications in a previous academic year, we will contact you directly to arrange your enrolment.
We’re looking forward to welcoming our new Residential Students to their term-time home and this will be followed by a residential induction where we will offer support, guidance and information whilst you settle into your accommodation.
You can find more information about moving in here.
The date for college orientation for students starting a new course will be confirmed soon; once you have been enrolled you will receive written confirmation of which date your induction will take place.
When you arrive on campus for your first day by 09.10am there will be lots of staff on hand to guide you to your induction and first lessons.
Your Induction day will involve meeting your new classmates, your lecturers, and support teams and your Progress Coach. You will be introduced to and shown how to use the college systems and be given your timetable.
Each course at Sparsholt requires certain clothing and PPE – make sure you’ve purchased the right clothing for your course! Find out more here.
If you have booked a campus bus pass the bus driver will know you’ll be travelling, and you’ll get your ID badge and pass for future journeys on your first day on campus.
