Sparsholt College is inviting visitors to its next Open Day on Saturday 18 November, 10am-2pm, showcasing the latest facilities, accolades and industry connections that set the Sparsholt experience apart. Just one of these links is the brand new AFC Bournemouth Second Chance Elite Programme for Football Academy students which enables players to propel themselves straight into careers in the football industry.

Head of Faculty for Sport, Kirsty Williams is delighted about the new opportunity for learners. She explains: “By working with AFC Bournemouth, Sparsholt students will be in the unique position of having a well-supported football pathway delivered by a Premiership Club, as well as gaining industry-recognised qualifications which will support them whether they choose to continue in education or move into the football circuit.”

The College attracts students from across the globe and the Football Academy course is no exception, with current students travelling from Australia and Bermuda to study their sports qualification. Sparsholt Principal, Tim Jackson said: “At Sparsholt, our campus is their classroom and our active learning approach, alongside developing students’ professional skills through work placements and industry training, gives them endless choice and opportunity for the future.”
