Sparsholt College, VS Fisheries Ltd and Aquatic Consultancy Services have announced the Annual Coarse Fish Meeting will be held at Sparsholt College on Thursday 6 September 2018. Now in its thirteenth year the annual event for the coarse fish farming and fisheries sector will include topical presentations from a number of leading experts.
Planned presentations for this year include;
- EA Fish Health Review
- CEFAS Update – the past 12 months
- Fish Legal – Update
- Keeping & Introduction of Fish Legislation Update
- Plants and Fisheries – what and why
- Creating a successful carp fishery – from design to 40lb carp
- Working with Nature plus Otters – a brief update
A free social event is planned for the evening of Wednesday, 5 September, with a guided tour of the College’s top-class fish facilities including the Salmonid Rearing and Trials Centre, the College Fishery and the Aquatic Research & Conservation Centre, followed by a fantastic BBQ sponsored by Skretting. The ideal opportunity for many attendees to meet and relax over a drink while discussing the hot issues affecting the coarse fish world. On-site rooms are available to all travelling from further afield or for those who wish to enjoy the social evening.
Talks start at 9.15am on the 6 September, drawing to a close around 5.30pm.
