  • Producing a lap fillet in the vertical position
  • Producing a tee fillet weld in the vertical position
  • Producing a tube-to-plate tee fillet weld in the PB horizontal and vertical position
  • Factors that influence weld quality

    Where will it lead me?

Upon successful completion of this course, learners may be interested in joining our Level 3 Award in Advanced Welding Skills (Pipe or Plate) course

    Entry Requirements

Delegates will be invited in to undertake a test weld before they can join this course.
Typically, delegates who have 20 hours of previous welding experience should be at the correct standard but that is only a guide and individuals may be asked to join an Introduction to Welding before they have sufficient skill to undertake a level 2. Previous experience may have been acquired in the workplace, or by attending one of our introductory courses either at Sparsholt or Andover College.

Please note that learners need to bring safety boots, fire retardant overalls and their own set of welding gauntlets to the course. The latter are available at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Welding-Leather-Gaunlets-Resistant-Welders/dp/B00E62CMAE/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=welding+gloves&qid=1593510261&sr=8-5
