Our fantastic students have gone above and beyond to work hard and achieve fantastic success throughout their time at Sparsholt, especially over the last extraordinary year. Students, parents and staff have responded amazingly well to the on-going lockdowns using the college’s online learning platform, and have embraced this new way of blended learning. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you as you join the experts in your field.

We’re still here to support you, and have put together this page of resources to help answer any questions or queries you may have about taking your next steps now that your results have arrived.

Heading to University or University Centre Sparsholt?

We’re excited to see many of our students move on to continue their studies at University this year! Now your results are in, you should have received an update on your offers via UCAS. Whatever your results, we’ve gathered some information to to help you decide what to do next.

  • To help you prepare for life at University, our Careers Team have put together a wealth of online resources to help with your progression – Uni Bound. Pages of helpful information, tips and tricks, and a mixture of talks from different Universities are available for you to browse, and help you feel prepared for this exciting new time. Start exploring now by heading to Moodle, clicking your Student Toolkit, and heading to the Careers section!

    As part of the Southern Universities Network (SUN), students at Sparsholt College also have access to a wealth of resources from universities all across the South Coast. SUN’s brand new online chat platform, Future Steps, allows students to speak directly with current university students, careers advisers and progression mentors for impartial advice and support.

  • If your results haven’t secured you a place on your chosen University course, don’t panic! Clearing can help you find a course at University that’s best suited for the grades you have achieved. You can find out more by heading to the UCAS website here.

  • We can’t wait to welcome so many students back as they begin their Higher Education journey at University Centre Sparsholt! If you’re returning to us as an Undergraduate student this September, we’ve prepared some information to help you get ready for university life here.

Apprenticeships

Looking to continue your education, but gain experience working in industry? An Apprenticeship might be the right choice for you!

A training programme designed to develop your skills and knowledge in a particular professional area, you’ll be able to earn as you learn. We offer a fantastic choice of apprenticeships in a wide variety of professions, and our expert Apprenticeship Team can offer advice and information on how to get started.

Wellbeing Support

Finishing College and moving onto the next step in your education or career is a huge achievement to be excited about, however we understand it can also feel daunting. If you’re feeling worried, need some support, or just want someone to talk to, our friendly Wellbeing team are still here to help!

Our team includes specialist wellbeing practitioners, counsellors, and nurses that are dedicated to listening and empowering you to resolve any challenges you might face. Find out more here.

Many students leaving Sparsholt College this year have a clear idea of the next steps they want to take, and we’re looking forward to seeing where you go next. However, we understand that you may still feel uncertain about your future and what to do next – please know that Sparsholt is still here to help!
