Class of 2020 – What a year!

We’re so proud of our students and all that they have achieved throughout their time at Sparsholt College, and especially over the past few extraordinary months. Students, parents and staff have responded amazingly well using the college’s online learning platform, and have embraced this new way of learning.  We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you as you join the experts in your field.

Heading to University or University Centre Sparsholt?


We’re excited to see many of our students move on to continue their studies at University this year! Now your results are in, you should have received an update on your offers via UCAS. Whatever your results, we’ve gathered some information to to help you decide what to do next.

  • Getting Prepared

    To help you prepare for life at University, our Careers Team have put together a wealth of online resources to help with your progression – Uni Bound. Pages of helpful information, tips and tricks, and a mixture of talks from different Universities are available for you to browse, and help you feel prepared for this exciting new time. Start exploring now by heading to Moodle, clicking your Student Toolkit, and heading to the Careers section!

    As part of the Southern Universities Network (SUN), students at Sparsholt College also have access to a wealth of resources from universities all across the South Coast.

    SUN’s brand new online chat platform, Future Steps, allows students to speak directly with current university students, careers advisers and progression mentors for impartial advice and support.

  • Clearing

    If your results haven’t secured you a place on your chosen University course, don’t panic! Clearing can help you find a course at University that’s best suited for the grades you have achieved. You can find out more by heading to the UCAS website here.

  • University Centre Sparsholt

    We can’t wait to welcome so many students back in September as they begin their Higher Education at University Centre Sparsholt!

    University Centre Sparsholt is a popular choice for our students to continue their studies at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. If you’re excited to continue your journey at Sparsholt and are interested in clearing, or just want to know more about our expert lecturers and TEF Gold standard degree courses, find out more here.


Looking to continue your education, but gain experience working in industry? An Apprenticeship might be the right choice for you!

A training programme designed to develop your skills and knowledge in a particular professional area, you’ll be able to earn as you learn. We offer a fantastic choice of apprenticeships in a wide variety of professions, and our expert Apprenticeship Team can offer advice and information on how to get started.

We understand that leaving College can be an exciting, but daunting time. If you’re feeling worried, need some advice, or just need to talk, we’re here to help.

Sparsholt College’s highly experienced Student Wellbeing Team offer specialist advice and support for any obstacles life throws at you. Our team includes specialist wellbeing practitioners, counsellors, and nurses that are dedicated to listening and empowering you to resolve any challenges you might face.

Extra Support for 2020 Leavers

Many of you who have left college in 2020 have a clear idea of your next steps; to all of you, we wish you the very best of luck. For others though, we understand that you may still be uncertain about your future -we want you to know that we are still here to help.

With the assistance of the Southern Universities Network, we will be offering additional, dedicated Careers support for 2020 college leavers from Aug 13, 2020 until the end of September.

We are offering:

  • 1:1 appointment – ‘in -person’ appointments, with social distancing measures in place, will be available at our Andover Campus on 26 August and 2 September. Please email: to book an appointment. Online appointments are also available.
  • Careers hotline – Monday – Thursday 9:00-10:00am, and 3:30-4:30pm
  • Webinars – Webinars will be available on Searching for Apprenticeship, Writing a Winning Application and Applying for University through UCAS.
  • Support available to local students – We can also offer a limited amount of support to local students who did not attend our college. There will be places available on the Webinars and you are also free to use the Hotline.
