Our Level 1 Animal Care students recently visited Laverstoke Park Farm with lecturer Jack Anderson. The students visited the walled garden, vineyard, non-operational abattoir, chickens, lambs, pigs, cows, observed milking of Asian water buffalo and had the opportunity to bottle feed Buffalo calves.
The trip was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all! Laverstoke is an organic farm owned by 1979 Formula One World Drivers’ Champion Jody Scheckter and gives visitors a real opportunity to a see a different method of producing organic livestock and plants.
