Craig Jordan, Sparsholt Greenkeeper Apprentice has been selected for the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the year award 2023.

Each year the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year Awards enable BIGGA, the UK’s only membership association for golf greenkeepers, to partner with turf maintenance equipment manufacturer Toro and distributor Reesink UK and celebrate the next generation of talented and dedicated greenkeepers.

Craig said: “I’m both hugely delighted and honoured to be selected for the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year finals. I aspire to continue developing my skills at college and at my workplace, working myself up the ladder to, hopefully, a course manager’s role in the future. To further support this I am very ambitious to continue my learning onto my Level 3 apprenticeship.”

Andrew Sims, Lecturer, said: “I am so pleased to hear that Craig has got to the finals of the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the year award. Craig has worked so hard not only at his Level 2 qualification but his professional development within the industry. Craig is a very ambitious, driven and supportive member of his Greenkeeping team at Ashley Wood Golf Club. I wish Craig all the best for the final and know he will embrace every aspect of this great opportunity”.
