On Tuesday 14 November 2023, Sparsholt College Group will host an exciting educational lecture on the Future of Farming, organised in partnership with the Denmead & District Growmore Club. The testimonial was in memory of community champion, Jenny Gray, and her contribution to the farming sector.

Four industry professionals are invited to give presentations at the event where they discussed the future of farming in the UK.

The speakers are:

  • Mark Thomas -Farming Community Network
  • Ian and Lousie Nelson – Sunnyfields Farm Shop
  • Mike Smales – Lyburn Cheese
  • Ellie Banks & Alison Tabot – CPRE (Hampshire Hedge Project)
  •

Jenny Gray was born and spent her childhood on a large farm on top of Portsdown hill where she and her husband Howard set up their own farming business. Jenny committed herself to many good causes including being a founder member of the Growmore Club and the Farm Future Forum. She strongly believed in the spirit of community and this testimonial is in her memory. Industry professionals have been invited to give presentations about how farming needs to develop in a sustainable and increasingly diverse environment. The presentations will be followed by a five-minute Q&A session.

There is no charge for attending this testimonial and light refreshments will be available on arrival.
