What will I learn?
As a land based course you will be based at the Equine Centre undertaking a lot of practical lessons and industry experience. You will also spend some time developing your English and Maths and writing some tasks that are based on what you have been learning in your practical’s. Multiple days a week you will spend on the Equine Centre, caring for the horses and undertaking daily duties, as well as spending a term working at the College’s Animal Management Centre. During the course you’ll visit a range of equine businesses and take part in trips to international events such as Olympia, Blenheim and the Brecon Beacons helping you to gain a real insight into the industry.

What grades will I need?
Two GCSEs at grade 3-1 or above, or evidence of studying Entry Level 3.
If you wish to pursue a Riding Pathway, we will need to see and assess your riding, this will be done via a riding assessment that you will be invited into college to complete, which we will use to confirm the most appropriate pathway for you.
