Our hands-on butchery classes delivered in Sparsholt College’s specialist butchery preparation room are designed to give a good grounding in traditional butchery skills and teach you how to buy meat and get the most from each cut. These courses also make ideal gifts.
Classes are aimed at smallholders, enthusiasts and keen cooks as well as people working within the catering or hospitality sectors who want to take a carcass or side of meat, break it down and prepare it for cooking. There are no pre-requisites required for these courses. Learners will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.
